The Film program:
The Summer Film Conservatory program is an advanced film intensive for ages 11 to 18, grades 6-12 offered for three weeks. Students submitting for the program must have prior film or video production experience. Activities and lessons will build upon an assumed knowledge base in film and video production, and will challenge students to reach new heights of the craft of filmmaking.

Students develop, write, film and edit a 20-30 minute short film while learning on professional film equipment and exploring the art of filmmaking. Class sessions included lessons in directing, scripting, light and sound design and cinematography styles. Student filmmakers cast professional New York City actors in their films, adding to their overall learning experience. Filmmakers also participate in film analysis and appreciation, examining classics and current breakthroughs to demystify the masters.

The short films created in this program are submitted to film festivals world wide: Films created in Imagine Me programs have taken honors at the Tribeca Film Festival (2006 & 2008) and the San Obispo International Film Festival (2007).
