1. Picture of Pearl Harbor while radio broadcast is in the background.
2. L: Apartment in N.Y.
T: Late at night.
E: Onashi family surrounding radio listening to broadcast.
We see Taka looking at a photo album with pictures of his family in Japan and in New York. We see his parents listening to news about Pearl Harbor on the radio in the other room.
3. L: Taka's room.
T: Next Morning.
E: Taka wakes up.
We see Taka groggily wake up and walk over to the small breakfast table. We see his parents proceed to tell him about the Pearl Harbor attacks the previous day. We see a confused expression on Taka's face.
4. L: On N.Y. Streets
T: Morning
E: Walks to school but every one on the street is avoiding him and staring.
We see Taka walking to school thinking over what his parents had just told him that morning. Peers and strangers alike all of different ethnicities giving Taka dirty looks, muttering prejudice slurs behind his back, and walking away.
5. L: P.S. school
T: Noon
E: He gets out of one of the classes but in the hall he gets teased and bullied because he's Japanese.
Similar to scene four but more laughing and teasing. Sad look on Taka's face.
6. L: Launch room
T: Noon
E: Tries to talk to his friends but they ignore him and walk away.
Taka's only two friends are approached by a group of students who peer pressure the friends to desert Taka.
7. L: Just out side the lunch room
T: Noon
E: Lunch aide talking to Taka.
8. L: School / N.Y. Streets.
T: After noon.
E: Taka gets jumped in streets but people walking by don't do anything to stop it.
9. L: Taka's apartment.
T: After noon.
E: Taka comes home finds that no one is there. Then Korean Neighbor come in and tells Taka about is parents being taken away.
10. L: Taka's apt.
T: After noon.
E: Taka packs up to go to neighbors, and finds picture album and looks at family picture.
11. L: Hall in apartment building
T: Night
E: Neighbor reads note Taka left and imagines what he did.
